Free Ice Cream Social at Cold Stone Creamery in Brentwood to Benefit Make-A-Wish

Wendy McCormick over at Frugal Mom made a great announcement about Cold Stone Creamery in Brentwood. For the month of September, Cold Stone Creamery will be selling Make-A-Wish wall stars to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. “The Make-A-Wish Foundation® traces its beginning to one boy’s wish. In 1980, 7-year-old Christopher James Greicius was being treated for leukemia. Every day, he dreamed of becoming a police officer….”

Going out for fat free ice cream was always a favorite date night for this Brentwood Grove writer. For the grand finale event in September, don’t miss the 7th Annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social at participating Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide. Coldstones will be accepting donations for the free ice cream, but that part is optional (although recommended). Both Coldstone’s and Make-a-Wish’s charitable generosity has granted millions of ill children’s wishes.
One Make a wish volunteer was asked why she volunteers, “By volunteering, I am able to show my children, by example, that it’s fun and rewarding to be helpful.” – Mindy P., Volunteer
On Thursday, September 25th from 5 to 8 pm, guests will be treated to a 3 oz. serving of Jack or Emily’s Creation. All donations will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
